Ferraro Censoring Forgotten in Rev. Wright Hullabaloo
The recent commentary on the racial politics of the 2008 campaign by former Congresswoman Geraldine Ferraro, the 1984 Democrat nominee for Vice President of the United States, is just the latest example of a party paying for the sins of several decades of foolhardy pandering to identity politics. Unfortunately for Ms. Ferraro, the long-running spat […]
Combating the “Unitary Executive” and Restoring Our Political System
“In politics, today is not yesterday, and forever does not exist.” These are the words of historian Geoffrey Perret, whose spring 2007 book lays out the blueprint for how our nation drifted from the path of being a diplomatic nation that avoided entanglements abroad and set an example of liberty for mankind to its present […]
Faith and Public Discourse: A Dispassionate Point of View
The lifeline of Mitt Romney’s campaign was given this past Thursday. The speech was targeted to a specific audience to alleviate concerns about his religion and the role it would play in his administration, surely more pressing than terrorism, economic fears and the effects of free trade and globalisation. Like it or hate […]
Bob Allen Resigns-Sort Of
Bob Allen is playing us.
The Florida state representative resigned– effective February 15, 2008–after his conviction of soliciting an undercover police officer for sex in the restroom of a county park.
Apparently–according to a spokesperson for Florida Speaker of the House, Marco Rubio–that date was Allen’s choice.
Really? He gets a choice?
How’s this sound? Effective immediately.
Marco Rubio […]

The Right Doesn’t Make Scandals Like the Old Hand Left
From DeMediacratic Nation:
It’s odd that someone in the public eye like a politician would risk their career and/or what they have accomplished for some fun. The recent media revelation of an Idaho senator’s attempt at participating in what is called “anonymous sex,” is just such a case.
Senator Craig is not the first, nor will he […]
Senator Craig Represents…
“Craig pleaded guilty in August to a charge of disorderly conduct following his arrest in a men’s room at the Minneapolis airport. He has since recanted his guilty plea, and said on Tuesday he did nothing wrong.” - Forbes
The GOP has called for his resignation, which is another blow to the troubled Republican party. Where […]
Jeri Kehn Thompson: Igniting Ire and Fire
UPDATE: Fred Thompson Responds to Critics
In case you have been visiting the Mars Rover, it is August 2007. A full year before the Democrat & Republican National Conventions are set to officially nominate their candidate for the office of the presidency.
The presidential campaign has focused on few - if any - issues. John Edwards is […]
Cheney on the DC Madam List
Found this while browsing around some political blogs…
Just came in from Coffee at the Caribou Coffee at 16th and L in DC.
Ran into one of my old cronies.
DC Madam talk is all the conversation in DC.
Brace Yourself.
I was just told Dick Cheney, while CEO of Halliburton, used her services regularly, they are trying to spin […]
Truth, Conservatism, God and American Justice
“If anyone was found to have broken the law, the person will be taken care of.” - President George W. Bush, Oct. 2003
Mr. Bush’s decision to commute “Scooter” Libby’s prison sentence will undoubtedly spark a national debate about what justice in American really means in an era of high political polarization and when old laws […]
Live from New York, It’s the Al Sharpton Spectacle!! - Will he, or Won’t he Endorse Obama?
In reading and listening to the treatment that radio host Don Imus has received this week over his “nappy hair” comment, I am bewildered that he would receive such harsh treatment. We all agree that he shouldn’t have said it, but why can’t we just accept his apology and move on? After all, he’s apologized, […]
I-Man Sacked By Thought Police—Who Is Next?
As a loyal listener and fan of Don Imus and the “Imus in the Morning” program on WFAN-New York and MSNBC, I felt compelled to come to the defense of an individual who I greatly respect.
Don Imus, a time-tested standard-bearer of morning radio in America is the latest victim of the politically correct thugs at […]

When Democrats Say it’s a Big Deal, it’s Not
NY Times:
“Under criticism from lawmakers of both parties for the dismissals of federal prosecutors, Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales insisted Tuesday that he would not resign but said, “I acknowledge that mistakes were made here.”
The Democrats of course:
“demanded that President Bush and his chief political adviser, Karl Rove, explain their roles in the dismissals.” […]
