Midterm Election 2006

The 2006 midterm elections have been quite an event. The Democrats have taken control of both the Senate and House. Nancy Pelosi will be the new Speaker of the House.

The tables have turned and the next 2 years will sure be interesting, especially with the war in Iraq. The Democrats already seem to have a plan of action, it is only a matter of time before we see how these events unfold.

Donald Rumsfeld is out and Robert Gates is in, and will provide a “fresh perspective” as the new Secretary of Defense.

Lets here your take on these events and what will occur in the next 2 years and what it means for the United States.

I feel that President Bush will have to work with the Democrats in order to accomplish anything. Now that the Dems are in power, I feel Bush will side more with the Dems on some issues in order to move forward. I think Republicans may criticize Bush, however, the outcome of the next 2 years will be very beneficial for the United States of America. Diversity in this case may be very helpful to our country.
